Interbellum is the musical project of Lebanese singer-songwriter Karl Mattar. The project blends elements of noise pop, folk and garage rock into an idiosyncratic mix centered on Mattar’s songwriting.

Superposthardbop was formed in Rotterdam in 2018. In 2019, after one year of building up an original repertoire at the studio and playing live in clubs of Rotterdam, we participated to competitions (Erasmus Jazz Price), released our first EP online, and subsequently toured in Italy performing at important festivals such as the Calagonone Jazz (IT).
We gradually transitioned in the years to a concept that consists of playing a non-stop set of improvised music interspersed by recurring minimalist themes coming from different musical landscapes (Iceland, Greece, Washington, Italy). Throughout the performance you can expect bursts of energetic music evolving into ambient atmospheres, revisited arrangements of niche Italian songs, such as “Le Rondini” by Lucio Dalla and “Valzer della Crudeltà”, and free improvisation.

OOMPH! x Playgrounds is an intimate show & tell where emerging artists get the chance to present their work. They will give you a peek behind the scenes and show you what it takes to create an animated film or what goes into illustrated work. The audience will be encouraged to ask all kinds of questions. How much coffee do you drink? What did you take to come up with this idea? Do you still live with your mother? Everything is possible!
