Jazzclub Hert met Andrew Moreno trio

This trio is based in Rotterdam since 2021 and is the collective work between Jonathan Ho Chin Kiat on bass, Django Buiting on drums and Andrew Moreno on guitar.

Andrew’s vision of his own trio goes beyond a regular traditional jazz guitar trio exploring different paths through rhythm, texture and dynamic flow within complex forms and structures in order to take the listener through a different journey by three performers.

The music is mainly composed by Andrew Moreno having in mind the playing of the other band members and bringin a common space of freedom towards the music for everyone.

Jazz duo Blue in Green, Gugu Ghazarian gitaar en Kees van Veldhuizen saxen, speelt jazz tunes uit the great American Real Book. Eigen interpretatie en improvisatie staan daarbij centraal. Na jarenlang samenspelen vinden zij elkaar blindelings en met veel speelplezier. De sfeer is akoestisch en melodieus, met respect voor de traditie.

paint what you hear!”

Su Nichel is a collective founded by Dean Montanaro and Andrea Carta, whose core motivation lies in making music that can remind people of the power of child-like wonder and imagination.

The band aims for a distinct sound, which spans from the vibrant, hectic syncopated beats of Andrea Carta, to the mellow, reminiscent melodies of Qualsevol Nit. Thanks to the cultural melting pot that is the Codarts Academy of Arts, and the strong identity of the two co-leaders coming from the two Mediterranean islands of Malta and Sardinia, the music is also rich of ethnic influences, which we can hear in a song such as Venolouma, an arrangement of an Aka People song from South-Cameroon.

Among our more well-known influences we may count the drummer Mark Guiliana, Swedish doublebass player Petter Eldh, the Rotterdam based band Clod!, and Catalan songwriter Jaume Sisa

Hun muziek is beïnvloed door indie rockbands, onderschatte rappers, spoken word poets en soft folk melodieën. Myles houdt van toeren met zijn muziek, zwemmen in de oceaan, zijn hond Finn en zich kwetsbaar opstellen voor jullie.
